Live Stream Seller FAQ – Getting Started on Moolah

1. How do I start selling live on Moolah?

Sign up as a seller on Moolah, complete your profile, and set up your payment and shipping details. You will also go through an automated identity verification process.  Once verified, you can schedule and host live shopping sessions to sell your products directly to buyers.

2. What is the identity verification process?

As part of platform security and trust measures, all sellers must complete an automated identity verification process. This involves submitting a valid government-issued ID for verification.  This helps maintain a secure environment for both sellers and buyers.

3. Do I need any special equipment to sell live?

You’ll need a smartphone or desktop device with the Moolah app and a stable internet connection. For better results, good lighting, a clear camera, and a microphone are recommended to showcase products effectively.

4. Is there any training available to help me sell live?

There is no formal training programme. However, Moolah’s support team can provide guidance on using live selling features and engaging viewers effectively.

5. Do I need to pay any fees to sell live on Moolah?

Selling live on Moolah is free.
After a successful sale, a 9.5% platform service fee is deducted from the transaction value. A standard payment processing fee also applies and is borne by the seller. These fees relate to platform technology, payment processing, and operational support.

6. How do I set up my shows and products?

After verification, go to the Schedule a Show section in your seller dashboard. You can add products, set starting prices, and schedule your live session.
When ready, tap Go Live to begin your session.

7. How do buyers pay for section-items sold during my live session?

Buyers complete payment through Moolah using supported payment methods such as credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayNow.
When a live price offer session ends, the system identifies the highest price offer. The winning buyer is redirected to checkout to complete payment.

8. Who covers the shipping costs?

Shipping costs are typically paid by the buyer unless stated otherwise in your listing.
For Lucky Draw giveaways, the seller is responsible for shipping costs.

9. How do I engage with viewers during a livestream?

Engage viewers by showcasing products, answering questions in real time, and explaining product details clearly. Interactive features can be used to encourage participation and build trust with your audience.

10. Can I offer discounts or promotions during the livestream?

Yes. Sellers may offer discounts, time-limited promotions, or special deals during live sessions. Ensure all pricing and promotions are communicated clearly to viewers.

11. What happens if there are technical issues during my live session?

If technical issues occur, you may pause or restart the livestream.
If a session ends unexpectedly due to technical issues, the system will determine the highest price offer at that moment, which may be treated as the winning offer. The buyer will then be prompted to complete checkout.
Moolah is not responsible for technical disruptions, but support may assist where possible.

12. How are my earnings paid out?

Once the item is confirmed as delivered, your earnings will be released.
The platform service fee and processing fee are deducted before payout. The remaining balance is transferred to your linked payout method. If a dispute is raised, payout may be delayed for up to 10 days while the issue is reviewed.

13. What if I need help with live selling?
