Moolah Consumer Protection (MCP)

1. What is Moolah Consumer Protection?
MCP protects purchases made using Buy Now. If an item does not arrive or is significantly different from the listing, a refund may be issued.
2. How much does MCP cost?
A 4.5% protection fee is charged based on the order value.
This fee activates protection and is non-refundable.
3. Is MCP automatically applied?
For livestream and auction purchases, MCP is pre-selected at checkout. Buyers may opt out before payment.
4. What purchases are covered?
MCP applies to products valued up to SGD 25,000 purchased using Moolah approved payment methods such as debit cards, credit cards, and PayNow.
5. Are services covered?
No. MCP only applies to products. Services such as property, cars, or air conditioning services are not eligible.
6. What issues are covered?
MCP covers two main situations.
Item Not Received
The item does not arrive and tracked shipping was used.
Item Not As Described
The item significantly differs from the listing, such as
incorrect model, size, colour, missing parts, or major
condition mismatch.
7. What is not covered?
Examples include:
- Untracked shipping
- Delivery delays
- Minor cosmetic differences
- Items clearly labelled as faulty
- Services or digital items
8. How long is the dispute window?
Disputes must be raised within 7 days after receiving the
parcel.
If no dispute is raised within this period, the order is
automatically marked as completed.
9. How to submit a claim?
Go to
Order History → Completed → Select Item → Raise
Dispute.
If the seller declines the claim, Moolah will review and make
the final decision.
10. Who pays for return shipping?
Buyers pay for return shipping. Sellers cover the original delivery processing fees.
